As ways forward of Raheemah Peace Weavers, on October 6-8, 2021, they spearheaded the Write-shop on Development of Contextualized Competency Standards and Curriculum of area-based skills in Marawi and Lanao del Sur. The participants during the write-shop are those weavers and craftspeople from Tugaya, Lanao del Sur. This was made possible with the support of Save the Children Philippines and with the assistance of the Ministry on Basic Higher Education (MBHTE-TESDA) BARMM.

During this activity, the four essential competencies on the skill-based in Marawi City and Lanao del Sur were the emphasis of the write-shop. This effort created a guide to core work skills to help key stakeholders better understand what core work skills are, how important they are, and how to deliver, attain and recognize them.

Raheemah Peace Weavers has also invited teachers from King Faisal Center for Islamic, Arabic and Asian Studies to further analyze and discuss the importance of Halal Industry Enhancement during the establishment of contextualized competency standards and curriculum of area-based skills in the region in order to fulfill the Halal Standard compliance. They have also identified possible moves to promote local products and services while promoting the Halal industry during the write-shop.

Save the Children Philippines, MBHTE-TESDA, and Raheemah Peace Weavers' collaboration to promote and preserve these four core competency area-based skills gathered from Tugaya weavers and craftspeople during the consultation is a step forward in helping and supporting Marawi and Lanao del Sur's economic development. This is all in line with the Restoring Livelihoods and Learning in Marawi project of Save the Children Philippines.
